Siegfried and Roy's Royal White Tigers and Lions Series
and other Cats by Michael Glinski

"Lioness"
By Michael Glinski
with background by Aldag.
This painting was originally signed by Michael Glinski and Aldag and was on display for sale at the Secret Garden of Siegfried and Roy at the Mirage Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, the listed price was over $5000, no proceeds from the sale ever went to Michael. This was the first painting Michael did in collaboration with Aldag, from then on Michael went on to paint a total of 16 paintings for the Siegfried and Roy series. After creating 4 paintings Michael relocated to Los Angeles to be closer to Las Vegas in hopes of getting his big break by having his artwork associated with high profile celebrities. After completing the series Michael was forced to sign a release form robbing him of any credit and or opportunity to collect proceeds. Under threat of a lawsuit by Siegfried and Roy's attorneys Michael who had no legal counsel to represent his interests gave in to the pressures by Aldag and his wife Wendy Sasaguchi Aldag to sign the release form. Aldag further pressured Michael that if Michael was not going to sign the agreement Aldag would commit suicide and be subject to a lawsuit by Siegfried and Roy as well since they already began funding the publishing of this huge series.
The retail value of all the originals and limited edition reproductions is in excess of $25,000,000.00 Million Dollars!
This total does not include any of the countless open edition prints sold as well as any merchandise that may have been licensed. Siegfired and Roy endorsed the series and even signed all of the originals and limited editions either by hand or digitally to take credit for creating the works along with Aldag, Roy Horn took the photos from which these paintings were painted and some of the original photos are still in Michael's posession.
Michael has a valid contract with Aldag which entitles him to 40% of all proceeds from any collaborations they have made but Aldag failed to pay any portion of any sales. Unfortunately Aldag also was able to dodge court subpoenas in the case against him brought on by Michael Glinski the Plaintiff. Michael won by default in Nevada Court the ammount of $250,000 dollars, however during the trial it was discovered that Aldag had already passed away and that may have been why he never showed up in court. Incompetent lawyers and clerks failed to realize why Aldag didnt respond to subpoenas. Then the case was throuwn out of civil court as there is no way to sue a dead Defendant, instead Michael has to find Aldag's estate, which apparently this so called world famous celebrity artist didnt even leave behind. Although on Aldag's website you can see that his estate and proceeds of his lifelong works have been able to fund a non profit organization the Aldag Foundation, so perhaps the money is there somewhere.
Recently it has come to Michael's attention that prior to Aldag's death he sold the entire rights to the series he wrogfully claimed to himself, to Vignettes Publishing of Las Vegas. The proceeds of this sales were never split as per the Aldag / Glinski contract. Therefore since Michael was not compensated in any way for his work , the contract releasing his rights is void and illegal as there is no consideration for his interests. This series basically constitutes a huge fraud and scam that not only took advantage of Michael's talent but also misleads the art collectors who acquire these works of art, they are falsely told that Aldag created the works himself with the use of his "famous" silkscreen techinique, when in fact they are entirely original works in oil on canvas, then the background is done by Aldag in acrylic and spray paint, sometimes over Michaels preexisting background.
If you or anyone you know has acquired any of the paintings whether original or reproduction please contact Michael at belauartgallery@yahoo.com and let him know about your experience and what you feel about this scandal. They may be eligible to receive damages for being fraudulently sold a work of art by another artist, under the impression that it was actually painted by a celebrity.
It is Michael's hope that one day there could be a class action lawsuit brought against the perpetrators of this white collar crime and that he can finally be recognized for the work he actually created, so that he can get the credit he deserves.
Please enjoy the art and pass this on to as many art lovers as you can and let them see for themselves.
